True Beauty

Mr. Husband and I were with his
family for the week of Western Christmas.

This was our dresser, with a large mirror.
I woke one day and was looking at our icons
and the thought came that this
is where real beauty is.

As if the dresser was the women's dressing table
where hair would be brushed, make up dabbed on.

Instead it is where prayer was done,
Icons were laid out with love.

Where Holy Water stood.

 

Where prayer books laid.

This is truly where beauty comes...
