Apple Orchard in Princeton

My Quilting Friend and I went to an apple orchard on Friday!
It was a lot of fun!
We hope to make applesauce on Tuesday DV
and I hope to make sour cream apple pie again!

What a great looking place! That's one thing I miss up here. There aren't a lot of orchards (only one in Renfrew). At home there are lots and lots of orchards. I can even get apples from home at the grocery store! I love to get fresh apples. Though I don't need too many this year, I still have lots of applesauce from last year.

Winesap apples! A name I never see at the supermarket. These older varieties appeal to me, but I don't know where to find them around here. Although, my co-worker promised me a Baldwin, just to try it.

This looks like such a lovely place!! And I will have to try that recipe. I've made my standard apple pie a few times already and am ready to try something new with apples before moving on to pumpkin things. ;)

I just love places like this. It looks like you had a lovely outing with your friend. I hope that you're feeling better and having a good week so far, Elizabeth.
