One moment at a time...the last few days...

I got a bunch of books the other day,
I will have lots of great reading ahead, God willing.
I was almost out of yarn for my wash cloth knitting.
What I got is not as good as I was hoping but I will make it work;
I've only tried the yellow so far; it's not as thick as the same
yarn that is not on a spool, same brand etc.
Well, I guess you get what you pay for, this was cheaper...
we had a real storm earlier, but Mr Husband got home safe
and I trust my help did too.
My doctor's visit (and hopeful cast removal) was moved up
to next week Tuesday.
I still have another 3 months the doctor says before I will
be fully better but I feel encouraged by the hopeful progress.
I got some really nice mail today
and I am so grateful for that.
I hope to make some more cards soon.
I am trying to make the best of each day.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments on my last post,
I really really appreciate each one.
May God bless us all!

A little about today

My help commented that she would have a harder time
than I am having with my situation.
But I have learned that if one gives into self-pity,
it's a never-ending mire.
So today I made a bunch of cards.
A friend of mine is having surgery tomorrow,
I ask your prayers.
I am doing some exercises to keep strength up.
I have 33 wash cloths knit now.
I am watching
When Calls the Heart on Netflix and really liking it.
My priest brought me Holy Communion today.
I am so thankful for it.
I have a month left of bed-rest left.
I am trying to keep busy and be thankful for all that I have.
This prayer was one of the best things I read today.

Progress...

I keep on knitting wash cloths!
Nice to have different colours from my quilting friend!
I bought a black sketch pad and photo tabs to make into a scrapbook
of all of my cards. :)
It's nice to look them over!
I got 2 more books by DE Stevenston too!
The last picture is from CB in WA as she wanted to see
the silver tea set I bought at the VNA at the beginning of May
and wrote to her in a hand written letter about! :)
It's the beginning of the Apostles' fast and we had
a nice meal of fried potatoes, a spinach salad with carrots and
a delicious strawberry, banana and clementine salad!
I am doing my best to be thankful for the day to day things.
Making my scrap book is a lot of fun and reminds me of
all the love and care I am being given while I wait to walk again.
That is a lot to thank God for.

Some things to be thankful for

Friends from my local church visited and brought treats.
I enjoyed some nice tea with cream on the fast-free Friday.
Mr Husband was giving a neat Chinese General for his collection recently.
I am homesick for walking but I have to wait another
month + some days.
I am trying to take it a day at a time and
be thankful for everything I can be,
which is still a considerable amount of things.

Some pictures from the last days.
Get well card, Aunt Bee from A. G. show :),
nice food, Cleo...
***
I got a really thoughtful package from a dear long-time
blog friend, Mat. Anna, with a Delft tea bag holder, card and
stroop wafel!
That was really fun!
***
I am trying to stay busy as being in the house
every day can get a bit 'stir-crazy' after a while.
I hope in time to get out, but the way our house is with the
stairs is difficult.
***
I am doing some PT to try to gain strength while I am
convalescing and that's great.
***
How are you all doing?  I would love to hear!
